Indefinite demonstrative pronouns (ce, ceci, cela, ça) do not agree with the nouns they replace in gender or number. - Lawless French
Demonstrative pronouns (celui, celle, ceux, celles) replace a specific noun that was mentioned previously and must agree with it in number and gender.
ça and cela are the same thing but "ça" is way more common colloquially (cela can be quite formal)
