"amuser" is "to entertain/to make someone laugh" and uses avoir => j'ai amusé mes amis

I think you meant "s'amuser" which is "to have fun"
it uses être like all pronominal verbs =>"je me suis amusé"

"je suis amusé" kinda exists, but it's être as a verb + amusé as adjective, meaning something along the lines of "I am entertained" but would be quite unnatural

last thing, "je m'embrouille" isn't really how you'd say "I am confused". It sounds more like "I am messing with myself"
there are somewhat ways to translate "I am confused" like "je suis perdu" but truth is it's not something that common to say in French, and people would usually go for other constructions altogether like "j'ai un problème" or "c'est bizarre", based on context
