Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Good question
I just know you can't use à la fois with intransitive verbs
I feel like with transitive verbs en même temps is more insisting, like it's more surprising to do the thing at the same time than not
Joue les deux notes à la fois -> we know it's possible but you weren't doing it
Joue les deux notes en même temps -> it was unexpected that you can play both at the same time
Can't you say "at once" for à la fois ?
@shy canopy
@narrow shoal is à la fois for like features like funny and that stuff for example « il est grand et mince à la fois » and en même temps for just like verbs like for « il écrit et parle en même temps »
