Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
No, I don't think this type of double negation to show a positive works
Also, 'I can't hear you' translated as « je peux pas t'entendre » would be taken literally as in 'I am literally incapable of hearing you' so it's best as just « je t'entends pas »
Since 'I can't not hear you' is basically emphasis, you can use adverbs like « Je t'entends fort » or maybe other verbs like « Je peux pas m'empêcher de t'entendre »
You might get away with rephrasing it, though it would probably sound unnatural:
Je n'ai aucune difficulté à le/la/les comprendre.
Ah, you already had your own example.
got it 👍
It does work, you just need to make it clearer @half flame @cosmic spade @bold glen
Like je (ne) peux pas ne pas t'entendre
With that second ne it's fine
Good to know, thanks. :D
