The plural of ciel is irregular:
Un ciel ---> des cieux

We stand in the sunlight ≠ nous regardons (watch) le soleil

You can translate it with : Nous nous tenons (debout) sous le soleil

Watch out for pronoun order
ils nous ont créés

"Incendie le lit" sounds a bit too technical in this contexte

I'd suggest
"Mets le feu au lit" (but that could be heard as an innuendo)
Or
"Fais brûler le lit"
