Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Each word has a gender and you cant really know. There are patterns, but its actually not best to memorize them from my experience
Just learn each word's gender as you learn the word, as if its a part of the word. Your brain will be able to figure some words out subconsciouly, or atleast make a guess
If you want though, the "patterns" (which generally aren't rules, but rather generalizations) are readily avaliable online
