Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Basically the more and sooner you eat fat, the longer your runs become longer according to some studies
Is he saying “graisse”?
yes
Ah got it and at the end he says “endurance”
So my oral's really bad
but this is what I got
I just want to add that personally I do ultratrail [really long distance runs] so I do a lot and a lot of them outside in the mountains. I can't count on glucose. Because, at the end of the runs, I can't do anything. Actually I had already done— I had found out a lot on the consumption of these fats. When we want to lose wait – and actually we realise with the studies that we [still have to] eat fat, even really early – it's just that we don't actually eat that much. On the other hand, really, the more we trained – as a regular runner – the longer we will wait to consume these fats early on especially if we have a slower endurance
Basically you still need fat to do long-distance running even when you're trying to lose weight; just don't eat much of it. The more you train, the more fat you'll need but you will have to wait longer to consume it especially if your metabolism is slow, for optimal weight-loss
That's what I got
Thanks for doing that
Is it possible that when he discusses”la consommation de ses graisses” he is referring to the body is consuming its fat stores rather than the person eating more fats?
It’s so helpful to see this written out because I have trouble when a person starts a sentence and then trails off/restarts in a different direction
And what is slower endurance, I kept getting hung up
on that and assuming I wasn’t hearing “endurance” correctly - how can endurance be slow
From the excerpt, I get the impression that people have different tolerances for endurance
if I can run for two hours it doesn't mean my friend can also run for two hours
maybe he can run for one hour or maybe four
so if your tolerance for endurance is low you might want to extend the fat eating window to train it up
