Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

For the most part, memorizing which nouns are masculine and which are feminine will just take time and practice. However, there are patterns for word endings you can follow to help with guessing.

When learning a new noun, I suggest writing it down/putting it on a flashcard with the article un or une. This will help you solidify the gender with the word you’re learning.

La (the) and une (a/an) are used for feminine nouns
Le (the) and un (a/an) are used for masculine nouns.
