Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Salut đ Je m'appelle Stephie, je viens d'HaĂŻti et je cherche Ă discuter avec des filles françaises pour me faire des amies et pratiquer le français đ Merci de m'accueillir !
I'm struggling to think of many situations where I would use the latter outside of : il s'est arrĂȘtĂ© de pleuvoir
After searching online a bit, an other use case I could find was : mon cĆur s'est arrĂȘtĂ© de battre, which is fine yeah
I also feel like there's a meaning difference between :
- Il a arrĂȘtĂ© de courir (feels like a more general statement, as in he stopped his weekly running activies
- Il s'est arrĂȘtĂ© de courir (feels like you're describing the action as its happening, like "he suddenly stopped running", which also works for my two previous examples with rain/heart)
so I guess it depends ?
