Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

I know what après means literally, it’s just in this context where it’s the first word introducing a slight shift in topic where I’m trying to figure out the english equivalent
I understood it as ‘in addition, then’ like they were adding to it
it's more like "but I mean.."
