Vas and allons are conjugations of aller which means to go
Sommes is a conjugation of être which means to be
I recommend you look into conjugation in the present for these two verbs they're really essential
Basically you know how in English it goes I go, you go, he goes
It's a different form for the 3rd person singular
In French pretty much every person is gonna have it's own form
Je vais, tu vas, il va, nous allons, vous allez, ils vont
Your answer is wrong because there is no verb. "Nous à l'école" roughly means "we to the school"
"Vas" only works with "tu", so it's essentially the same question as "why do we say « I am » and « He is » instead of « I are » and « He are »"
