Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
do you have an example
like to say "la voiture" for "the car" what determines whether a noun is feminine or masculine?
thats the only example i can come up with
cause ive had times where i mix up le/la and "misgender" whatever im talking about
ah, some word endings are more common for a gender than the other but there's a lot of exceptions
you pretty much have to just memorize it with the word when learning the meaning
unless your native language or another one you speak has grammatical gender
then they (usually) line up
Keep in mind that 99.99% of nouns in French simply have a specific gender (there are some exceptions, but they’re very rare…)
