By clear French subtitles, do you mean subtitles that match word-for-word the lines spoken in the film?

Because from my experience, though subtitles are common, they do rarely match with the actual spoken line. It comes down to a difference of philosophy. French can be rather wordy and long that may not be easy to read in like a few seconds (personally it sounds like a skill issue but they do their stuff) so they summarise a lot of the time

Usually you can find subtitle files somewhere online if for whatever reason you have a file without them, I believe there was a guide in #1279421820654850162 (not sure how well this would work with a bought file/disc though, been a while since I've had to try anything like that)
Ideally you want to look for CC and not just subtitles, but either should be ok
I'd like to say subtitles are usually included on official products, but I've seen weird combos of subtitles even from official sources at times :/
