Please be patient
Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Journal and magazine being countable nouns, the article is definitely indefinite.
only uncountable nouns use partitives?
A partitive article essentially means "some (unknown/unspecified) amount of something".
We say "de l'eau" because we're not talking about water as a whole but some part of it.
Jounaux and magazines are whole, concrete objects so you can use definite or indefinite articles.
so it doesn't make sense to use partitives
yeah
