Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

it's just like she pronounces it lol

i don't get the big deal tbh, it wouldn't piss anyone off

it does sound a lot like neveu, but there are a lot of homophones in french, so this isn't to unique

first of, she says neuf makes a V sound with liaison, but the truth is it only really happens with the two exact examples she gives (neuf heures/neuf ans)
most people would say "neuf oeufs" with a F sound, and the regular "oeufs" plural pronunciation. No need to switch it up
even if pronounced with a V sound, it's not the same vowel sound as in neuveu and who cares if there are homonyms
also in "neuf yeux", most people would pronounce yeux with a Z sound because of agglutination
