Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

For pronouns, ask them which one they might prefer: « iel », « ille », and others exist
But since nouns have a gender, and adjectives have masculine and feminine forms, it might not be enough…

"heureux(se)"

but idk how to do it in speech

Some nouns keep the same form for both genders, they are « épicènes » (gender-neutral)
You may also use neologisms, for exemple “writer” might be « auteur » (masculine), « autrice » (feminine), or « auteurice » (neutral)
Since neologisms evolve quickly, there might be a lot of them. Wiktionary suggests also « autaire » and others

In speech, you can abuse the words for which all forms have the same pronounciation
For example, « beau/belle » is easily replaced with « joli/jolie »: both forms have the exact same pronounciation, so I’d consider it okay to describe a gender non-conforming person
