Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
il brosse ses dents = he brushes the teeth that he owns (could be a jar full of loose teeth)
or "he brushes his (some other person's) teeth"
il se brosses les dents = he brushes the teeth attached to his own body (so this is the normal idiomatic way to say "he's brushing his teeth")
the main idea being that in French, actions making use of body parts use a definite article (le, la, les) and not a possessive article (mon, ta, ses...)
raise your hand => lève la main (note "lève ta main")
