In exercise 3, you use avoir with the imperfective

which is incorrect

for example in 3.3 you say Il a bâtissait

it should be il bâtissait

For expressions with avoir (avoir faim, avoir peur etc) you conjugate avoir

so that should tell you how to do 3.1
