Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
yes
le mien cheveux doesn't make sense though
better to say mes cheveux
maybe even better to say "je me suis lavé les cheveux"
Thank you, fquel! 🙏
What about these sentences:
- Je vais prendre une baguette avec fromage et jambon, s'il vous plait.
- La chaise est marron.
- Nous avons deux chaises. Ils sont marron.
Good job! Just two things.
• Je vais prendre une baguette au fromage et au jambon, s'il vous plaît.
(Use "à" and "de" with ingredients. "avec" implies it's a side dish.)
• Elles sont marron.
(Chaise is feminine, so the pronoun has to be feminine too.)
Merci beaucoup!🙏
btw, if you're curious on the difference between "à" and "de" for ingredients:
Great! Thanks!👍
Is this the right way to say "Today I ate (or had some) chocolate and listened to a podcast"?
- Aujourd'hui, j'ai mangé le chocolat et écouter (or écoute?) un podcast.
"J'ai les yeux bleus". It's bleuS because it's plural, right?
