Direct translation doesn't work very well for this one

• French mostly doesn't need it because it makes use of object pronouns to avoid repeating what has been said previously. You can thus use that for this purpose.
  if you say so => si tu le dis
• Some verbs don't need to use an object, as it implies the object is what has been said previously.
  I think so / I hope so => je pense / j'espère
• To add emphasis, you can use "c'est ce que.." (that's what...) instead.
  he says so => c'est ce qu'il dit (that's what he says)
