Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Well, the original sentence isn't quite correct/natural
but it can be understood
first off, do you understand how the indirect object pronoun "me" and the adverbial pronoun "en" work?
yes
ok, so do you know how to say "he gives me the book"?
il me donne le livre ?
il me le donne?
il me donne de l'eau
il m'en donne i think?
bingo
ok, so the rules we're dealing with in your example are fundamentally the same
buuut there's a negation going on which complicates things a little bit
normally, with imperative sentences, the pronouns get put in a different order from normal sentences
however, here you're dealing with a negative imperative
yes
and with negative imperatives the word order stays identical to normal sentences
donne-moi des bonbons -> give me candy
donne-m'en / donne-moi-z-en (second one is non-standard but more common) -> give me some
ne me donne pas de bonbons -> don't give me candy
ne m'en donne pas -> don't give me any (of that)
ohh ok
