Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
how long have you been at it? are you repeating lessons?
It's also okay to work through translation when you're starting out, a lot of people hate on it but it can definitely help you target just the process of building sentences without having to start from scratch. It's not unusual for your mind to just be lost when you're used to expressing complex thoughts and are suddenly incredibly limited
Maybe keep a small journal where you write in english and then work through how to express the same thing in french
