Please be patient
Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
This is the "conditionnel journalistique" - it's used in news articles and is the equivalent of adding the word "reportedly" to the sentence in English.
- Un suspect aurait été observé près du véhicule (conditionnel passé journalistique)
"A suspect was reportedly seen near the vehicle" - Un suspect avait été observé près du véhicule (plus-que-parfait)
"A suspect had been seen near the vehicle" - Un suspect a été observé près du véhicule (passé composé)
"A suspect was seen near the vehicle"
