It's probably « hommage de l'auteur (tribute from the author) » as in its a message from the author to whomever will be reading this work. I'm like 75-80% sure that that is the right reading.
I'm not 100% certain because of how it's written. The double M looks like double Ws and the TH looks like D so just by reading I would've gone, « l'howwage de l'audeur » but that's gibberish
