Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Honestly I found this super nice how most of the words related to that are female so it's easier to remember.
La capacité, l'aptitude, La compétence, l'habilité
Savoir-faire is similar but is different it'd more like know how in English so that's masculine so then it's easier to remember that it's also le savoir and le pouvoir.
May or may not be a troll post but I hope this helps someone.
This was almost definitely a troll post. Also note that we refer to grammatical gender as masculine and feminine rather than male and female and it has essentially no connection to biological sex. Just think of them as noun categories!
Fun fact: that's because grammatical gender was invented before gender roles were! In reality, we're the ones doing it wrong
To be honest I don't think we can confidently say that
You'd have to ask anthropologists about when gender roles began, but it seems to me that some animals already have gendered roles, so we ought to be able to expect the same thing for humanoids from the time before spoken language…
At any rate, it's really best to think of them noun categories, or better yet "noun classes" as they are known linguistically.
