Please be patient
Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
- You could rewrite the sentence this way : les femmes que les mauvais garçons ont pris.
If you wanted to use "qui", you could write: "les femmes qui ont été prises par les mauvais garçons."
Using passive voice
- I think the word you're looking for is tenir
tenir tête (à quelqu'un) means to oppose someone
I'm guessing the previous sentence is une femme qui saurait lui dire non (a woman who could say no to him).
tenir tête à quelqu’un
phrase
to stand up to somebody /to defy somebody
