Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

For journalists, we would use "interview" as well. For a job interview, we would say un entretien (d'embauche)

I reckon we say "donner une interview" for the one going to the interview. "Faire une interview/Organiser une interview" should be correct for the organiser.

I also saw "interviewer" used as a verb: "I was interviewed" = "J'ai été interviewé"

you also have the word "entrevue" which I believe is generally used in Canada instead of "interview" which is viewed as an anglicism
