Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
I don't know the grammar behind it, but the English "what have you done with some sugar" doesn't really make sense either. Maybe it's because sugar is uncountable?
It implies that whatever you were doing, you were doing with some sugar on you which doesn't make sense
« Qu'est-ce que tu as fait avec du sucre ? »
sounds like you're cooking with like a pouch of sugar on your pocket like what's it doing there
« Qu'est-ce que tu as fait avec le sucre ? »
sounds like you're cooking something that involves sugar
