Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
no ! we use only "nouveau" :))
"neuf" is not for something alive ! you can say "le bureau est neuf" "the desk is new" because it's an object, but you can't say "je suis neuf ici" !
"neuf" is like "freshly made", or the quality one expects of something brand new
mon nouveau chapeau => could be an old hat, but it's new to me because I did not have it before
mon chapeau neuf => gives no information about how new the hat is to me, just that it is freshly made/brand new, or at least seems brand new
