Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
"as long as it's never been denied"
So the sentence would be, "One of the rules of politics is to never believe a piece of information as long as it's never been denied.", correct?
The sentence doesn't make any sense to me, not sure if it's because of the fact that I read it too much or does it not make any sense in French as well?
it's fairly literally "One of the rules of politics is to never believe something so long as it has never been officially refuted", the idea theoretically being that something cannot be proven true unless people have tried to prove it wasn't
/ something isn't worth believing if no one has tried to argue against it (for the same reason)
