Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
we use « en » for « automne », « été », and « hiver » to mean "in autumn", "in summer", and "in winter"
and we use « au » for « printemps » to mean "in spring"
so you think of « printemps » as being an exception
that's it
i think of it as related to the vowel
similar to how countries starting with a vowel also use en even if they're masculine
