Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
The subject initiates an action and the object receives the action (it can be done directly (COD) or indirectly (COI)).
J'écris une lettre.
The subject is "je" because it is I who starts the action of writing a letter. And the object is "une lettre" because it receives the action of writing from me.
ah i think im rеtarded
i get it now i think
cuz im learning les pronoms interrogatifs
and they differ depending on whether ur asking about a subject or a cod
qu’est-ce qui vs que
Yep, there's no simple interrogative pronoun for the inanimated subject, you have to use the est-ce qui form for it. Unlike qui which can be both subject and object on its own. You can even add est-ce que/qui to it in both cases.
Que fais-tu ? / Qu'est-ce que tu fais ?
Qu'est-ce qui est tombé ?
