Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Nope. And it would be mistaken for the tu form.
Should be noted that though « on » is used for « nous », that's only in subject form, its corresponding reflexive pronoun, and its conjugation. Otherwise, you'd still use « nous ».
« Les gars, il y a des filles là ! Est-ce qu'on va leur parler ?
– Non, nous, on va pas leur parler parce qu'elles ont l'air ivres.
– Bah, parlons-leur quand même ! »
Guys, there's girls there! Are we gonna talk to them?
No, we are not going to talk to them because they seem drunk.
Bah, let's talk to them anyway!
As you can see, the imperative is still conjugated in the nous form and our tonic pronoun (repeating the subject in tonic form is a common way to put an emphasis on it) is still « nous » in spite of our subject and conjugation being for « on »
Then why is it explique in here? Expliquer becomes explique when the subject is je or il/elle/on. I thought it took the il/elle/on conjugation
