Yes, correct. "Celui" replaces "le résultat".

And if I were to replace (in a different sentence) "une étude", can I use "... que celle inconsciente ... " ? Or do i need "celle-ci"?
You cannot replace "une étude" with "celle". Celui/celle imply that the noun is definite, so it would only work in a situation where the term being replaced is "**l'**étude".

Also, the -ci/-là suffixes indicate distance so if you use « celle-ci » you might make us think that you were referring to something else compared to something else

« J’aime ces deux voitures mais je préfère celle-ci et pas celle-là »

« L’étude dont on parle et celle qui rend les gens fou … »
celle-ci would imply another study
