Please be patient
Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
It's not that the preposition comes before the verb, it's that the preposition follows a verb or adjective
and knowing which to put is a memorization game
apprendre à
se souvenir de
sometimes verbs can take more than one preposition (with or without a change in meaning)
penser à → to think about (as in to have on one's mind)
penser de → to think about (as in to hold an opinion on something)
