"avoir besoin" is not complete in itself
You need to follow it up with "de" + what you need
Ex: you need my help / tu as besoin de mon aide

"en" can replace a noun introduced with "de" of you don't want to repeat it.
So, "tu as besoin de mon aide" can be shortened to "to en as besoin"

This process is basically the same as replacing "you need my help" by "you need it"
