I could only found "a" is a letter and some weird nouns I've never heard of (are)

a is a conjugaison of avoir (to have), avoir + passé of a verb indicates something was done and is finished in the past

j'ai - I have
tu as - you have
on/il/elle a - we / he / she has
nous avons - we have
vous avez - you have (pluriel ou formel)
ils/ells ont -they have (pluriel)

I couldn't find the answer in word reference and these are really informative
