there's actually a verb tense for an action that you just did, which is called le passé récent

it's formed by conjugating the verb « venir » in the present tense, adding the preposition « de », and lastly tacking on your main verb as an infinitive

here are some examples:

• Je viens de faire mes devoirs.
  -# ** ** ("I just did my homework.")
• Est-ce que tu viens de rentrer chez toi ?
  -# ** ** ("Did you just come home?")

And you can insert a "juste", "justement", or "tout juste" before the "de" for emphasis.
