Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
When an adjective is followed by a verb in the infinitive, an preposition (à or de) is added between the two.
Ex: C'est facile à dire
Je suis content de dire ça
Unfortunately, you have to learn all of the adjectives that use de and that use à, because there is no specfic rule.
Generally, à is used most often, and de is used feelings about stuff:
Je suis content de dire ça
Je suis désolé de dire ça
Je suis satisfait de te rencontrer
It can also depend on emphasis: is it on the verb or on the object?
C'est facile de faire des gâteaux.
Ce gâteau est facile à faire.
