Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
when you want to describe the distance between you and a certain object or location, you use "à" before. Let's take this sentence:
I am 500m away from you.
If you translate it to "Je suis 500m de toi", you are lacking the preposition, which is this case, if a preposition of location. "à" is the preposition of location you need to use in the case. It clarifies that your position (we'll call it position A) is related to position B, which in my example is You.
The correct translation for "I am 500m away from you" would be "je suis à 500m de toi".
