Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Heey
"ne pas comprendre" is not actually a new verb
It's just "comprendre" but with a negation. So i could say for exemple
Je ne comprends pas
Il ne comprend pas
Elles no comprennent pas
If you did not know yet, the "ne pas" is a formula of negation, la négation, and it sort of 'wraps' around the verb (think of it like a sandwich, the verb is in the middle of it.)
It's a way to say that you did not do something. By the way, for the passé composé, which you'll be seeing a lot, the "ne pas" wraps around the first verb.
J'ai mangé (I ate)
Je n'ai pas mangé (I did not eat)
Notice how "ne pas" surrounds the "ai".
If you're not familiar with the passé composé yet, or with la négation, there's a ton of recourses out there. If you need help finding good sources i'd be happy to help out a little
