Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Both can work, though they do differ.
For 'still' (a continuous state), 'toujours' is best.
She is still a bad person.
Elle est toujours une mauvaise personne.
'Encore' can be ambiguous:
Elle est encore une mauvaise personne.
She is still a bad person.
She is a bad person again.
With negation:
- Encore
Je n'ai pas encore faim.
I'm not hungry yet.
- Toujours
Je n'ai toujours pas faim.
I'm still not hungry.
Note that 'encore' follows 'pas' while 'toujours' precedes it.
