Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Le Subjonctif Imparfait et Plus-Que-Parfait
Hi, I know this may seem too advanced or unnecessary, however I would like to learn them as I am hoping to read French Literature
I already know the Subjonctif present and passe
They are not used in speech and seldom even in writing.
Is there anything specific you need beyond what you can find by googling those two terms?
I wanted to know how to conjugate them
and how they are used
the only videos and answers that come up are in french
If you already know passé simple, take the radical and add -sse, -sses, -t (with circumflex accent on last vowel), -ssions, -ssiez, -ssent.
Subjunctive PQP is just a compound tense with the auxiliary in subjunctive imperfect.
