Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
I somewhat disagree. “On” as a subject pronoun has come to replace “nous” orally in all but the most formal situations, so even in a job interview or when speaking to a professor, there’s nothing wrong with “on”. In a formal speech or writing it probably should be avoided, however.
It’s also important to note that “nous” still gets used as a tonic and object pronoun and “on” has not (and cannot) replace this usage.
fair
but i guess it never hurts to err on the side of caution
or in this case formality
Hmmmm
Still not sure I agree
Using "nous" as a subject pronoun can come off as extremely stuffy, to the point of sounding affected.
Of course, with a non-native accent, no one will be bothered.
99% of the time, just use "on" as a subject pronoun meaning "we"
if you're giving a eulogy, or writing a formal letter, use "nous"
on is a third person singular pronoun, always
Ok
