Please be patient
Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
In French, you have to change the possessive pronoun based on the gender of the possessed noun.
"my" for instance can be:
- "mon" for singular masculine nouns
mon frère <=> my brother - "ma" for singular feminine nouns
ma soeur <=> my sister - "mes" for plural nouns
mes parents <=> my parents
"famille" is feminine, thus you have to use "ma"
we have to use ma here as the gender of the noun famille is féminin.
la famille, une famille, ma famille
dans means « in(side) »
ma famille habite dans une maison
my family lives in(side) a house
à is more commonly used to mean « at »
