Do you have examples of sentences in which the use of "en" confuses you?

It would also help to tell us what you know about "en", and in light of what you know, what exactly you find confusing about those examples.

« En » is used in 2 ways :

• you can use it to replace « de » and other variations of « de » like « du »…

For exemple if i say «  fais-tu du sport ? » (Do you play sports ?), you can respond « Oui, j’en fais » (yes, i do) and in this sentence « en » means « sport »

• you can also use it to express quantities, like if i say « Combien de pommes veux-tu ? » (how many apples you want ?), you can respond « J’en veux deux » or « Je n’en veux pas » (I want two / i don’t want). In this sentence « en » means « pommes » but you have to specify the quantity of the thing

• and something else, you should not be confused by « y ». Like « y » replace a place, if i say « Je vais à Paris, toi aussi ? » (i’m going to Paris, you too ?) you can respond « J’y vais aussi » (i’m going there too) and « y » means « Paris ».

• and in the opposite of « en », « y » replace « à » instead of « de ». Like « Je pense à la mer. » (i’m thinking to the sea) you can respond « J’y pense aussi », so « y » means « la mer »
