Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
When it has a romantic meaning, the structure is "manquer à".
Tu me manques means you are missing from me => I miss you.
ahh okay
manquer means to lack, and in french they use lacking to describe missing, so "tu me manques" literally means you are lacking from me, but at the same time this signifies me missing/longing for you, because I lack you.
definitely a strange thing but it is a bit common in romance languages, another verb that works in the same way is plaire.
tu me plais = i like you.
ahh okay that makes more sense
