Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
« ingérer » just means something, no matter what, enters the body by swallowing, it could be food, sure, but also bacteria.
« manger / bouffer » both talk specifically about food entering the body by swallowing. « bouffer » is the informal verb for « manger »; I think « bouffer « originally means « manger beaucoup »
