Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
"chez <x>", other than meaning "at <x>'s home", is also used to refer to <x>'s personality, traits, habits, etc. What makes <x> who or what <x> is.
It wouldn't make much sense to say "quelque chose que j'aime sur lui".
You could say "quelque chose que j'aime à propos de lui", but I feel like it's slightly different. It's like something you like about the idea of that person - you don't necessarily know the person.
Whereas "quelque chose que j'aime chez lui" implies that you know that person. You know what they're like, and there's something about what makes them who they are that you like.
