• "50 et 50 s'additionnent pour donner 100" is a bit cumbersome but no real issue.
• "50 et 50 s'additionnent pour former 100", while the sentence is correct, "former" isn't used for adding numbers.
• "50 et 50 s'ajoutent à 100" doesn't carry the same meaning. It would mean "50 and 50 are being added to 100"
• "50 et 50 font 100" is a very natural way to say it.
